This red breasted robin was found and passed along to me to paint. I consider my chance to paint this beautiful bird one way to celebrate this its life and beauty. The presence of the robin in the spring is always a comforting sign of warmer temps and the promise of change. In many Native American traditions the robin symbolizes relationships, courtship, home and family.


The Pine Siskin is part of the finch family. They have a humble beauty, a petite frame, and a loquacious presence.
